NOTD: OPI Just Spotted the Lizard

According to other bloggers, this is a dead on dupe for Chanel’s Perdiot. While I still can’t decide whether I like this color or not, I went ahead and bought it when I saw it in stock at Trade Secrets. I wore this for 5 days.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Glitz Gal

I took three coats to get it opaque. Unfortunately this chipped the next day. It was very dazzling in the bright sun. Boy was this pain to remove!

a-england: St. George

a-england’s St. George is a gorgeous teal which is currently on back order on their website. I bought these babies a few days after the collection was released and I’m so happy I did. I’ve already worn this color a few times and I always get compliments from everyone!

One pesky thing about it though is that taking the color off is a pain because of the staining so make sure you use clean cotton when removing it (not one you’ve already used to remove the polish off of one finger!)

March Glossybox

My March Glossybox arrived yesterday and it almost could NOT have been called the March box anymore. Why did we get it so late? So was the wait worth it? I’m on the fence. I’m getting really underwhelmed by the Glymm boxes as of late and the Glossyboxes aren’t that much better, in my opinion. Here’s my box:

  • Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
  • Bailey Cosmetics Fresh Lip Gloss
  • Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray
  • Pandora’s Makeup Box Blush in St. Tropez
  • Sebastian Re-Shaper Hairspray
  • Algemarin Foam Bath

NOTD: Chanel Distraction

My cousin meesb sent me a link to The Beauty Look Book’s review of Distraction in February with one word in the body: “wow”. Wow is right! It was instant LOVE. Having had major regrets not taking the plunge and ponying up the $$$ to buy Chanel’s Morning Rose, I bought this at the Macy’s Chanel counter the weekend after I got this link. (As an aside, I was wearing a-england’s St. George at that time and the Chanel SA’s were complimenting me on the shade and just about every cashier and SA in every store!)  I just happened to be crossing the border into Buffalo that weekend so it was a stroke of luck! I’m not sure if Canadian counters had this polish at that time.

This is part of Chanel’s Roses Ultimes de Chanel Collection and it’s a pretty coral shade with pink shimmer. The shimmer is more apparent in the bottle and in the sun. The name suited the shade because I’m often distracted by my nails at work. It makes my hands look delicate. This is totally worth the money but my mom still can’t believe I spent that much on ONE bottle.
